The
Wrenfields Announce CD Release Party – December 6th 9PM at Memphis
Smoke
The Wrenfields, three-time Detroit Music Award winners in 2002, will celebrate the release of their new album entitled “Seconds” on December 6, 2002 – 9PM at Memphis Smoke in Royal Oak, Michigan. “Seconds” is the follow-up to their 2001 critically acclaimed debut album “21st Century Pioneer” which garnered the alt/country group Detroit Music Awards for Best Country Recording, Best Country Group and Outstanding Country Vocalist, Noreen Novrocki.
Stephen Clark, WXYZ Channel 7 News Reporter/Anchor, will perform a solo acoustic set prior to The Wrenfields taking the stage. In the mid-1990’s, Stephen took his music public on the same San Diego coffee house singing/songwriting circuit that spawned Jewell Kilcher and The California Country Music Association named Stephen “Male Entertainer of the Year” in 1995. He has opened for such notable country acts as Willie Nelson, Chris LeDoux, Tracy Byrd and Lari White and jammed with BB King, The Nelsons and the Bacon Brothers.
Over the last year,
The Wrenfields have become a favorite on www.DetroitCountryMusic.com, appeared
and performed on W4 Country Radio (102.9FM) and performed at
The Budweiser
Downtown Hoedown and the Farmer Jack Hot Country Jam with national country
artists Pin Monkey and Darrel Worley. The
band also recently showcased at The Midpoint Music Festival in Newport,
Kentucky.
"Seconds" was engineered and produced by Ohio native Tyler Brown at
the band's Compound Studios in Dearborn, Mi.
Brown also produced "21st Century Pioneer" as well as music for
former Jayhawks co-frontman Mark Olson and his Original Harmony Ridge Creek
Dippers. Creek Dippers' drummer,
David Wolfenberger adds banjo and mountain dulcimer to tracks on
"Seconds".
