Tyler Brown, Producer

Here's some more information on Tyler Brown...

Tyler helped found Blue Jordan Records in Cincinnati, Ohio several years ago. Blue Jordan is a cooperative record label that supports independent music in Cincinnati.  Tyler has worked with most of the Blue Jordan artists, producing for Janet Pressley, Dave Wolfenberger, and Katie Reider and engineering records for others. Each of them have won numerous local music awards from the Cincinnati Enquirer, City Beat, and the Cincinnati Post.

A television show called Dawson's Creek featured two of Katie Reider's tunes from her first record, Wonder, which Tyler produced. Click here for the official web site of the music Dawson's Creek.

Tyler is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist (drums/percussion, guitar, piano/keys) who found out quite by accident that he was pretty good at pushing buttons and producing. You can still catch him strumming a guitar or playing the organ on stage or in the studio from time to time, but he's been focusing most of his professional energy on producing/engineering.

Tyler was recently introduced to songwriting heroes Mark Olson and Victoria Williams. As fate would have it, they ended up inviting him down to Mississippi to track and mix for The Original Harmony Ridge Creekdippers (Mark's post-Jayhawks outfit). They had heard Tyler's production/engineering work on Dave Wolfenberger's latest, and they hired him based on its merit.

Tyler's latest projects are:  (click the artists name for a link to their web site)
Katie Reider - Producing upcoming release. Tracking and mixing for an August release on Blue Jordan Records.

The Original Harmony Ridge Creekdippers - Tracking and mixing for their follow-up to "My Own Jo Ellen."

David Wofenberger - Producing. Project is "in the can" and awaiting a July release on Blue Jordan Records.

Victoria Williams - We took some time out from the Creekdippers project to track some vocals on her upcoming "standards" release on Atlantic Records.

Beggarman - On their way down to Nashville to cut their upcoming release, Eric Hauck and company stopped off for a day of pre-production work at the studio.

The Wrenfields welcome Tyler and sincerely appreciate his involvement with our project.
